(ARI-NNR).

The aim of our Internet resource is to provide public with
information on religious activities in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Another mission of the ARI-NNR is to cover the religion related
events, which take place in cultural, social and political
sphere of life of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
This website is the successor of the Internet resource "Freedom
of faith in the Nizhny Novgorod region",
that was active in the years of 2002-2012. |

The website is of secular, non-confessional and independent
nature. We implement rather sociological than theological
approach to the analysis of events, taking place in the
religious life of the region. Doing this we reject "human
rights" approach to data collection. |

Being aware of the fact, that the Eastern Orthodoxy is
historically considered to be the predominant confession in the Nizhny Novgorod region,
we believe, that public also needs to be supplied with
information on religious minorities and religious communities,
which have used to be attributed to «nontraditional religions»
and «new religious movements". We are open to informational
exchange and cooperation with any religious organizations and
groups, the activities of which are not forbidden by the laws of
the Russian Federation. |

we are ready to place your comments in the heading "Preachment
and journalism". Requirement for publication: extensive nature
of submitted material and non-anonymity, in case it contains
criticism of religious and any other organizations |

The ARI-NNR does not get funds from any religious communities or
governmental authorities.
Announcements of various religious events are published solely
free of charge. Fees for the materials submitted are not
provided for. |
